This well attended artist’s reception highlighted a diverse sampling of artistic expressions by Florida Artists for Cinco Banderas 34th Exhibit at The Artel Gallery on October 13th.
The Juror, Joseph Smith reviewed the 160 submissions and reduced to the final 80 selected artists.
During this occasion, an attendee and unexpected treasure was a sharply attired 7.99-year-old, Chirstopher (His 8th birthday was the next day), who was pleased to attend and dressed for the occasion in black hues: shirt, jacket, slacks, and tan sneakers.
Enamored with the “5-Gold Nettle Jellyfish,” Christopher had the opportunity to discuss with the artist, Helene Pappas, the creation, and composition of the piece.
His smile was precious, and his enthusiasm was refreshing! Shortly afterward, this ball of energy darted off; Christopher’s mother expressed appreciation to the artist for the time spent and attention given to her son.
Christopher is a “budding artist” in the rough and with encouragement, the possibilities are limitless. Additionally, his mother is an artist, and the ingredients of a creative environment, is most evident.
Christopher will certainly attend future art events, cultural opportunities, and a potential candidate for Dr. Shiva’s Young Warriors Systems course! This young man is a bright light!
