- August 2022 elections selected Ryan Messer for position of Supervisor of Elections with a 75.6% victory to commence in January 2023.
- Election experience was crucial to the voters who endorsed their confidence in Mr. Messer, mentored by former 20-year office veteran, Supervisor of Elections, Bobby Beasley.
- Judge David Green officiated the oath for the position under the laws of the United States, Constitution, God, and State of Florida.

Although fully elected in August 2022, on this day, January 3, 2023, Judge David Green officially confirmed Mr. Messer to commence his elected role as Supervisor of Elections.
The morning ceremony was observed by county officials, family, friends, election staff and poll workers.
To crown this momentous occasion, Pastor Taylor provided a prayer of a spiritual covering for Ryan and his family.
From Ryan’s youth, Pastor Taylor has witnessed the growth, development and delighted in this remarkable achievement.
Ryan has prepared for this career path by becoming a deputy supervisor while attending Florida State University in 2007 and 2008.
Because of his focus, and early experience, it has given him the opportunity of participating in 46-federal state and local elections.
Additionally, he has participated in 7-recounts which included 3-state-wide counts conducted simultaneously.
