There are plenty of walk- and bicycle ways in Finland. The rules are strict: Don’t walk on the wrong side or on the bicycle side of the way. The cyclists get angry, and you can hurt yourself.
The traffic signs are painted on to asphalt, which is useless when the ice & snow is covering the ground at wintertime. But there’s also real traffic signs for those times.
The gender equity program has resulted in putting up more gender-neutral signs in 2021. All the new signs show people as overweight. I know, Scandinavian clean design, but still.
